Lower Cholesterol With Ayurveda

These days, more and more people are switching to natural treatments to lower cholesterol. Amidst various other natural treatment options, Ayurveda is the best of choice. It treats high cholesterol without causing any side effects. Here are some ayurvedic remedies that you can use to bring down your cholesterol levels naturally.

#Arjuna
This is the most popularly used ayurvedic medicine to lower cholesterol. Typically, the bark of arjuna is used as a cholesterol lowering medication. Arjuna may be used in either tablet or powder form. The typical dosage of this ayurvedic medicine is one gram powder four times a day.

#Bishop's weed seeds
Take bishop's weed seeds along with cumin seeds and sugar in equal quantities. Now mix them together and grind them in the form of a powder. Take one teaspoonful of this powder everyday. Drink water along with taking this powder. This ayurvedic remedy can be used by pregnant women too.

#Triphala
Take five grams of triphala (powdered form) with a glass of hot water every night before you sleep. Triphala contains various herbs such as amalaki, bibhitaki and haritaki that are known to lower cholesterol levels. Out of the three, amalaki is an excellent source of Vitamin C that is known to dissolve blood cholesterol.

#Garlic
Add a clove of garlic to milk. Now boil this milk. Drink this milk when it is still warm. Repeat this for one week continuously and your cholesterol levels are sure to go down. Alternatively, you can also consider eating garlic. It is suggested that you eat garlic raw on an empty stomach every morning to lower cholesterol. However, if you cannot come to like the taste of garlic, you can roast it in castor oil.

#Orange
Ayurveda suggests eating a diet comprising of oranges. Oranges are rich in Vitamin C and eliminate the cholesterol from your body. Alternatively, you can also drink orange juice.

#Watermelon
Watermelon can play a considerable role in bringing down your cholesterol levels naturally. Cut watermelon in slices and apply rock salt and black pepper on it. Leave the watermelon slices for some time. Now extract the juice of this watermelon and drink this. Continue this for a week and your cholesterol levels are sure to go down.

#Coriander
Coriander not just works for garnishing but also helps lower your cholesterol. Ayurveda suggests drinking coriander juice to lower cholesterol levels. Take some coriander leaves and crush them. Now add these crushed leaves to water and bring the water to a boil. This will ensure that the entire juice of coriander leaves is dissolved in water. Cool this water and drink it. Repeat this for a month.
