If you are indulging in any of these sandwich meats for lunch, make sure that you have a light dinner. Condiments The condiments that you consider as "nothing" with your meals contain oodles of salt. A single tablespoon of ketchup contains as much as 167 mg of salt. A tablespoon of Italian salad dressing also contains 243 mg of salt. So, make sure that you use them as less as possible. Breakfast treats Some popular breakfast items are the richest sources of salt. Your regular breakfast cereal can contain anywhere between 150 to 200 mg of salt. Scrambled eggs too contain salt in high amounts. Try to substitute these breakfast items with healthier foods like fresh fruits and salads. Fast or frozen foods Frozen foods make use of high amount of salts for preservation. For instance, a single frozen turkey contains as much as 800 mg of salt. A double cheese burger supplies you with 1051 mg of salt. Thus, it is in your best interest to avoid these fast or frozen foods.
